In this blog, we’re exploring the John Cena car collection in detail and talking about the champion’s hottest rides.
..And His Name Is JOHN CENA! WWE John Cena’s Career
John Cena, a 16-time world champion, a 2-time Royal Rumble winner, and a lifelong motorhead, is widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. Though Cena isn’t as connected to wrestling anymore, he is still one of the most well-known and universally recognized WWE fighters. He is also a successful actor and musician.
In 2024, John Cena has announced that he will soon be retiring from in-ring acting. WrestleMania 41 will be the last WrestleMania he participates in, though he will continue to wrestle until late 2025.

John Cena House is lavish and luxurious. The WWE star lives with his wife in Land O’ Lakes, Tampa, Florida. He purchased the 10,692-square-foot home in 2005 for $5,25,000. Currently, the property’s value stands at $3.5 million.

Notable films with John Cena in them include Playing with Fire, The Suicide Squad, 12 Rounds, The Wall, Daddy’s Home 2, Bumblebee, The Marine, and in two movies of the Fast and Furious franchise: Fast 9 and Fast X.
Trivia
1. John Cena’s Philanthropic Guinness World Record
In 2022, John Cena was awarded the Guinness World Record for granting the most wishes through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. Starting in 2002, Cena had granted over 650 wishes in 2022 and is also the most requested celebrity in the organization’s history.
2. Cena is the Perfect Meme Material
Cena has been the subject of a few memes. His catchphrase ‘You Can’t See Me’ has led to the running gag that he is invisible in photos.
The pro wrestler posted a video of himself speaking Mandarin Chinese in which he ate an ice cream and promoted his upcoming film Fast & Furious 9. Viewers found his repetition of the words ‘bing chilling’ (bīngqílín 冰淇淋- Chinese for ice cream) quite amusing, and this sparked a flurry of memes.
3. His Most Memorable WWE Entrance Includes A Car
Possibly Cena’s most memorable WWE entrance ever was in Wrestlemania 23. On April 1, 2007, Cena pulled into Ford Field and crashed through the stage entrance in a Shelby GT-H Mustang. The crowd went wild and Cena emerged from the vehicle surrounded by shards of glass and the deafening cheers of his fans. At $100,000, it was the most expensive WWE entrance yet back then.
John Cena was one of the many celebrities invited to the wedding of Indian billionaire Anant Ambani. The star attended the ceremony in a light blue sherwani and seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself. Other celebrity guests at the wedding included Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Justin Bieber.
4. He Had A Car Review Segment Called Auto Geek
Believe it or not, John Cena used to make YouTube videos of himself talking about the cars in his collection and what he liked and disliked about them. He used to make these videos under the banner ‘Auto Geek’, which were uploaded to the Bella Twins YouTube page.
This was back when Cena was dating fellow WWE wrestler Nikki Bella. Later, (presumably after they broke up) all of these videos were pulled from the Bella Twins channel, and even Facebook posts about the videos were deleted.
Million Dollar Car Collection
The John Cena car collection has evolved a great deal over the years. While he used to be a hardcore American muscle car lover, we’ve also seen him branch out and invest in some European cars as well. Currently, the wrestler uses a ‘21 Honda Civic Type R as his daily driver. Let’s look at some of the more unique cars in his garage.
1991 Lincoln Continental
In an interview, John Cena reminisced over his life before becoming a professional wrestler. He said that after moving to LA, he lived in the back of his Lincoln Continental for about 3-4 months.
The 1991 Lincoln Continental was priced at approximately $5,372–$8,712 according to Edmunds.
1984 Cadillac Coupe DeVille
John Cena bought his first car, a 1984 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, at age 15. He purchased the car from a man on the street who was selling it for $500. Cena stated that his main motivation behind buying it was its “big Cadillac motor.” He wanted to transplant the DeVille’s motor to a smaller Chevy car.
Unfortunately, young Cena tried to drive the Cadillac coupe around his yard first and promptly blew the transmission and motor. He had to ditch his plans and abandon the DeVille. The 1984 Cadillac Coupe DeVille originally cost $17,800.
1969 Chevy Nova
With the DeVille motor plan ditched, Cena now turned his attention to the Chevrolet Nova. He had to build a small block for the car to get it to work. The Nova’s life was short-lived; John was only able to drive it for three days. In his words, “The frame has so rusted the subframe collapsed on the unibody”.
The Chevy Nova was the second car that John Cena bought, but the first he got to drive. The Chevrolet Nova cost about $2,345 at the time of introduction.
1989 Jeep Wrangler
You know someone loves something a lot when they use their first paycheck to buy it. John Cena used his first WWE paycheck to buy himself a 1989 Jeep Wrangler. The pre-owned car had covered more than 80,000 miles when he bought it.
John later made some modifications to his Wrangler. He added bigger tires, a brush guard, and metal guards to the car. He also removed the roof, which probably helped him fit in the Jeep more comfortably.
Pontiac GTO Judge
Reportedly, the first muscle car John Cena ever bought was a 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge. Cena got his Pontiac GTO restored in the late 2000s and documented every step of the process. The wrestler has expressed that he is particularly fond of the Judge variants.
“I’m a big Pontiac GTO fan, specifically the Judge package that Pontiac offered in ’69, ’70, and ’71. My top three cars are the ’69 Carousel Red Pontiac GTO Judge, a ’70 Cardinal Red Pontiac GTO Judge, and a ’71 Black Pontiac GTO Judge. They made them in ’69, ’70, and ’71, and I have all three.”
2006 Ford GT
“It’s an unbelievable car. It was a sign of life for me that the Big Three could do something like that…”
John Cena was enamored by the Ford GT, just like millions of other American sportscar enthusiasts were. The Ford GT was based on the GT40, now more popular than ever thanks to the Academy Award-winning movie Ford v Ferrari, which documented the building of the GT40 Mk II.
The Ford GT was priced at about $1,50,000 when it first went on sale and is worth $4,00,000 today. The GT in the John Cena car collection is configured with three of the four available options. It gets the red-painted brake calipers, a McIntosh audio system, and forged alloy wheels, only opting out of the racing stripes.
The GT gets a 5.4-liter supercharged V8, making 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. Apart from Cena’s car being in excellent condition, it is also fully stocked.
2017 Ford GT
John Cena’s Ford GT made the headlines for all the wrong reasons. The pro wrestler found himself in hot water with Ford when the company sued him for violating a purchase contract.
When Ford made the second generation, they didn’t want just anybody to have it. The owners of the new GT were handpicked by the folks at Ford themselves and were made to sign a contract that stated that they could only sell their GT two years after purchasing it.
John Cena was handpicked as one of the first 500 customers of the Ford GT. He drove the car for only 30 miles before selling it to a Ford collector just a month after he purchased it. What’s more, Cena made a huge profit—he bought the GT for approximately $5,00,000 and sold it for a whopping $1.54 million.
Ford soon caught wind of this affair and sued John for the direct breach of contract. The matter was never taken to court as the two parties reached a settlement, wherein Ford agreed to donate the settlement amount to charity.
2006 Lamborghini Murcielago
The 2006 Lamborghini Murcielago in the John Cena car collection is one of just 4,099 produced. It sports yellow brake calipers and a sleek black exterior. The car is powered by a 6.2-liter V12 producing 575 horsepower and costs about $31,087 – $42,054 when new. It sells for anywhere between $1,50,000 and $4,86,061 today, depending on the car’s specs and condition.
2009 Lamborghini “Lamborgreeni” Gallardo
Decidedly one of the flashier cars in the John Cena car collection, this Gallardo is the only one in the world sporting this unique Verde Scandal Green exterior. John fondly dubbed the car the ‘Lamborgreeni’.
The WWE champion wasn’t the Lamborgreeni’s first owner. The Gallardo’s original owner had requested the special green exterior with an interior to match. This task proved somewhat difficult for the folks at Lamborghini, who ultimately used a custom leather upholstery shade that Cena termed ‘grellow’ since you guessed it, it’s a mix between the two colors.
An unfortunate byproduct of being absolutely ripped is that Cena finds it difficult to fit inside most supercars. He described being inside the Gallardo as “cramming yourself into a FedEx box”. It’s no wonder that he eventually sold the car. It was listed at $1,45,988, but we don’t know how much it ended up selling for.
1970 Plymouth Superbird
Another muscle car joins the John Cena car collection. This orange beauty features a 425-horsepower 7.0-liter engine and can reach a top speed of over 150 mph. In a MotorTrend interview, Cena praises his Superbird, saying that it’s the talk of the town everywhere it goes.
He further goes on to say that the 1970 Plymouth Superbird was a pretty big part of NASCAR heritage, but it “handles like shit” since it was meant to be driven on the track.
1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator
“I like the crazy stuff, like I’ve got a ’70 Mercury Cougar Eliminator. It’s a very rare package offered on the Cougar.” As evidenced by the vintage cars in the John Cena car collection, the wrestler loves muscle cars for their distinctive look.
The Eliminator was a high-performance version of the Cougar and was only in production for a year. The 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator features a 5.0-liter V8 engine delivering 290 HP and 290 lb-ft of torque. It has a top speed of 131 mph and a 0-60 of 6.7 seconds. Cena’s Eliminator has an average selling price of $85,139, according to Classic.com.
1966 Dodge Hemi Charger 426
The ‘66 Dodge Hemi Charger in the John Cena car collection comes with a 425-horsepower 7.0-liter engine. They weren’t produced in large numbers, which makes them rarer now. This limited-edition muscle car can reach a top speed of 121 mph.
The InCENArator
The InCENArator was custom-built for John Cena by the Parker Brothers. It was built on the chassis of a C4 Corvette and sports a futuristic design and is equipped with real flamethrowers.
The car was built in just 30 days to participate in the Gumball 3000 rally. Since it kept the engine of the Corvette, it isn’t built for peak performance. The InCENArator from the John Cena car collection was later sold for $4,27,000.
1969 COPO Chevrolet Camaro
Next on our list of cars in the John Cena car collection is this gorgeous red 1969 Camaro COPO. The car is equipped with a V8 engine that generates 425 horsepower and 624 Nm of torque. John Cena bought the car for approximately $175,000 in 2007 and later sold it for an undisclosed amount.
2010 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
The Chevy Corvette isn’t everyone’s favorite. John Cena echoed this sentiment for a while before he gave the Corvette a chance. Cena claimed that his sidain for Corvettes stemmed from the fact that they were too popular. “I was an anti-Corvette guy just because everyone drives Corvettes.”
Buying the 2010 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 was his way of giving the Corvette a chance. And in a (now deleted) Auto Geek video, he said that he was very proud of his Corvette ZR1.
1971 AMC Hornet SC/360
In 2009, John Cena stated that his daily driver was a 1971 AMC Hornet SC/360. Providing some context for his unconventional choice, the WWE superstar said that though the Hornet was a “low-dollar car” and quite easy to find and buy, he liked his Hornet because it gets more attention than other, far rarer cars, since most people just haven’t seen one before.
The Hornet in the John Cena car collection had a Mustard Yellow paint job with black trim. It was later sold for an undisclosed price.
1969 MGC GT
While John Cena definitely likes to keep his vintage vehicles in stock, there are some exceptions from time to time. Notably, he purchased an unmodified 1969 MGC GT and requested it to be heavily customized or modified.
The 1969 MGC GT was in production for just three years. Cena wanted his MGC GT’s old-school engine, brakes, and suspension set-up gone, so Ekstensive Metal Works in Texas got to work on making this MGC GT feel a bit more 21st century. The MGC GT got a custom body kit, a blue paint job, a more modern interior, and an upgraded General Motors LS3 6.2-litre V8 engine, plus a new suspension setup.
For reasons unknown to us, Cena decided to sell his customized MGC GT and parted with it in late 2023 for $66,420.
1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass S Rallye 350
The 1970 Cutlass in the John Cena car collection features a light yellow paint job with bucket seats, power disc brakes, and Goodyear tires. It has a 5.7-liter V8 engine and can do 0-100 km/h in 7 seconds. John’s Cutlass was listed for sale in 2012 for $32,998.
Mercedes-AMG SLS
The Mercedes-AMG SLS is AMG’s version of the Mercedes SL Gullwing. It sports a rigid and lightweight carbon fiber monocoque body and is powered by a supercharged V8 engine. Since AMG is all about performance, the AMG SLS gets 617 hp at 6500 RPM and a 0-60 time of just 4 seconds. It has a top speed of 205 mph or 329.92 km/h!
2007 Ferrari F430 Spider
The Ferrari F340 Spider in the John Cena car collection is one of the last Ferrari car models to be fitted with a manual transmission. It was worth approximately $2,50,000.
Ferrari 360 Spider
Cena’s Ferrari 360 Spider is draped in the signature Rosso Corsa red, Daytona seats, a Tan Eater interior, Scuderia shields, and red piping. And of course, the car has a 3.6-liter V8 engine that sounds just incredible.
In an Auto Geek episode, Cena reveals that his 360 Spider has a 6-speed manual transmission. He also expressed how enjoyable it was to shift gears with his car’s aluminum-gated shifter. A pre-owned Ferrari 360 Spider is priced between $86,890 and $1,12,985 today.
2006 Rolls-Royce Phantom
Can a car get any more luxurious than a Rolls-Royce? A status symbol for the elite, nothing spells luxury and opulence more than one. While newer Rolls-Royce cars can cost a huge fortune, vintage ones fetch a (marginally) lower price.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom in the John Cena car collection features a grey exterior with a tungsten stripe. It features a smooth and powerful 6.75-liter V12 engine for a plush and comfortable ride. On Auto Geek, John called this car “the ultimate display of luxury.”
Cena’s favorite feature onboard the Phantom is their floating center wheel caps. Designed to display the RR logo perfectly upright at all times, they represent the marque’s meticulous attention to the small details.
2012 Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition
Compared to the vintage, rare, and collectible cars in the John Cena collection, a Range Rover may feel a bit out of place. However, his Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition is one of just 500 models sold worldwide and one of the 50 models delivered to the USA.
Cena’s Rover is equipped with semi-aniline leather upholstery, heated and ventilated power-adjustable seats, a mini fridge with two champagne flutes, and a center console with a swiveling table.
The door panels and dashboard are lined with Kalahari wood veneer, while the cargo area has leather-lined sides and a teak wood plank floor. It also came with rear-seat iPad entertainment linked to an on-board Wi-Fi system—features that were highly advanced for its time. In October 2024, this car from the John Cena car collection was sold for $66,000 on the auction site Bring a Trailer.
Fake Lamborghini Diablo
Who can forget about the time John Cena confessed to buying a fake Lamborghini? This story dates back to before Cena was a WWE legend and the money hadn’t started rolling in yet. Since he couldn’t afford a real Lamborghini Diablo, the wrestler decided to spring for a fake one.
The seemingly affordable decision would cost him. When the car was delivered, John realized that it was not roadworthy and would need a lot of work to get there. But as someone who loves cars, how could he say no to that challenge? In August 2024, John revealed that while he purchased his fake Lambo in 2003, he only got it running in 2024, after taking it to about 10 different shops to find someone who could fix it.
Two decades after he purchased the replica, Cena finally decided to part with it and auctioned it on Bring a Trailer, where it sold for a sizeable $1,46,000. Shoutout to the user’s son, who asked if the price included an attitude adjustment from John Cena himself.
