The Dzire Gets a New Look at a Similar Price

Currently, the Maruti Dzire is priced at ₹6.57- ₹9.34 lakh, ex-showroom. The new Dzire, on the other hand, has an estimated price of ₹6.99 lakh to ₹10 lakh. The final prices of the next generation of Dzire will be revealed on 11 November. The Dzire new model 2024 competes with the Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze.

Take a look at those new headlights! The new Maruti Dzire swaps the old petal-shaped headlamps for sleeker and more futuristic ones. The Dzire 2024 model will also be offered with a CNG powertrain, which generates 69 bhp and 102 Nm of power and torque and can only be paired with a 5-speed Manual Transmission.

Speaking of mileage, it should surprise nobody that the already fuel-efficient Dzire is even more frugal now. The all-new Dzire has an ARAI mileage of 24.79 kmpl with manual transmission and 25.71 kmpl for the automatic, which is lower than the Swift but higher than the outgoing Dzire. The Dzire is also more fuel-efficient than its rivals.

The Maruti Dzire comes with 6 airbags as standard and is equipped with safety features such as ABS with EBD, hill hold, brake assist, and an electronic stability program. Rear parking sensors, a rear defogger, and a 360-degree camera ensure that both parking and driving are safer affairs.

What’s more, the Dzire 2024 is also equipped with three-point seatbelts, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and even a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. The old Dzire’s 2-star GNCAP rating seems to have been the driving force behind making the newer version safer and more robust than ever before.

The new Maruti Dzire 2024 is built on the 5th generation Heartect platform, which uses 45% high-tensile steel for the car’s structure. It is lighter than before, so the power-to-weight ratio might stay the same even with the new 3-pot engine.

Cargo Space and Storage

Boot space is generous, at 382 liters. That’s 4 litres more than the old Dzire. The boot can easily accommodate several large and medium-sized suitcases.

The 4th Gen Dzire will be available in four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. Thus, comparing the current Dzire vs new Dzire, the variant list should be similar. The exact prices of each variant will be revealed on 11 November. The Dzire has already started to arrive at local dealerships ahead of its official launch.

The Suzuki Dzire 2024 loses points for the engine downgrade. The 3-cylinder petrol engine makes less power and doesn’t win any points with driving enthusiasts. Another complaint is that there’s still no front armrest in sight, despite it being one of the most-requested features for the Dzire.

While enthusiasts keep their eyes peeled for a 1 litre turbo petrol engine, it seems unlikely to make an appearance anytime soon. Overall, the new Dzire trumps the old generation. This subcompact sedan offers incredible mileage, a longer list of creature comforts and safety features, revised interior and exterior styling, and spacious interiors.
